Kenan Thompson é anunciado como apresentador do Emmy 2022

O ator e comediante Kenan Thompson foi anunciado nesta terça-feira (9) como o anfitrião do Emmy Awards, que acontece no dia 12 de setembro, em Los Angeles (via Deadline). Ele é bastante conhecido nos Estados Unidos por seus quadros em programas de entretenimento como o “Saturday Night Live”.

Embora já tenha comandado outras atrações como o People’s Choice Awards, esta será sua primeira vez à frente da maior premiação de TV e do streaming nos Estados Unidos. Antes, Thompson também já tinha comparecido à cerimônia como indicado. Foram 6 nomeações no total.

Entre os concorrentes deste ano, o maior destaque fica com “Succession”, da HBO Max, que disparou à frente e recebeu 25 indicações.

Na sequência, acumulando outras 20, estão “Ted Lasso”, da Apple TV+, e “The White Lotus”, também da HBO. Além disso, nomes como Zendaya, Adam Scott, Sandra Oh, Reese Witherspoon também ganharam destaque em suas respectivas categorias. Será que teremos Rue, de “Euphoria“, levando uma nova estatueta para casa?
